2005-07-22 - 1:29 p.m. So, the barbershop. Are those instructions complicated? Because they sure seem to be to barbers. He asked if I wanted it short, and whether I wanted the #2 or #3 guard on the sides (Yes, and whichever one says "1/4 inch" on it) My haircut can best be described as "low maintenance." Maybe its just an aversion to hairstylists fucking up hair, like they to in Pottstown (sorry star). But I'd like to just go in, say "1/4, 1/2" and have people understand. Thinking about it though, maybe its a cultural thing. Maybe ingrained in barbers is the need to go through the exact haircutting/styling discussion that I seek to avoid. In this case, its like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. or is it the other way around? If this is true, maybe I need to make up some stock hair cutting problems and solutions, so barber X can understand that I really just want 1/4 inch on the sides and back, and 1/2 inch on top.
All this makes me think the Flowbee is a good idea.
